This policy explains how Yessir Travel ("we," "us," or "our") processes cancellations and refunds for cruise reservations booked through our agency. Because we operate as a third-party cruise booking agent, the cruise line's cancellation schedule and fare rules govern most refund outcomes. We summarize how the process works on our side and what to expect on yours.
1. Service Fees Charged by Yessir Travel
Yessir Travel may charge a service fee for researching, processing, modifying, or cancelling a cruise booking. Where applicable, the service fee is clearly disclosed at the time of booking — in writing on the quote, on a recorded line where calls are recorded, or in the booking confirmation. Service fees are not refundable once the cruise booking has been processed, regardless of whether the cruise line issues a refund.
2. Cruise Line Cancellation Schedules
Each cruise line publishes its own cancellation schedule based on how many days remain until the sail date. Schedules typically follow a tiered structure:
- More than 90 days before sailing: deposit may be refundable (less any non-refundable portion of the deposit and our service fee).
- 61 to 90 days before sailing: partial cancellation penalty.
- 31 to 60 days before sailing: substantial cancellation penalty.
- 0 to 30 days before sailing: typically 100% non-refundable.
The exact schedule, percentage of penalty, and applicable dates depend on the cruise line, fare type (refundable vs. non-refundable deposit), and stateroom category. We share the applicable schedule in writing with every quote.
3. Components That Are Typically Non-Refundable
- Yessir Travel service or booking fee.
- Government taxes, port fees, and similar third-party charges already remitted (where the cruise line does not refund them).
- Travel insurance premiums (subject to insurer policy).
- Promotional or "non-refundable deposit" fares marked as such at booking.
- Pre-paid cruise add-ons (specialty dining, beverage packages, shore excursions, Wi-Fi) where the cruise line marks them non-refundable past a deadline.
- No-show bookings (failure to board the ship without prior cancellation).
4. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Please include traveler name(s), cruise booking number, ship name, and sail date. We will confirm the cruise line's penalty (if any), document the eligible refund amount, and submit the refund request to the cruise line on your behalf.
5. Refund Processing Time
Once the cruise line authorizes the refund, the refund is issued back to the original method of payment. Typical timelines:
- Most credit card refunds: 7 to 30 business days from cruise line approval.
- Future cruise credits or onboard credit refunds may follow a different timeline set by the cruise line.
- The actual refund release date is set by the cruise line and your bank or card issuer — not by Yessir Travel.
6. Itinerary Changes by the Cruise Line
If a cruise line cancels a sailing, substitutes a port, changes a ship, or significantly alters an itinerary, the cruise line determines what compensation, re-protection, or refund is offered. We will help you process whatever option the cruise line provides — but we do not set those policies and cannot guarantee the outcome.
7. No-Show Policy
Failing to arrive at the port and board the ship without prior cancellation is treated by the cruise line as a no-show. No-shows are typically 100% non-refundable. Travel insurance is recommended for protection against unforeseen medical, weather, or family events.
8. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance. Insurance is offered by third-party insurance carriers under their own terms and policies. Yessir Travel does not act as an insurance agent or insurer. Coverage, exclusions, and claim handling are determined by the insurer.
9. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe a refund has been mishandled, please contact us first — we will work directly with the cruise line to resolve the matter. Initiating a credit-card chargeback before contacting us may delay or block the refund process and can freeze your booking.
